Our Scuola Leonardo da Vinci Florence, which for decades has accompanied its students to the city's museums to honor the memory of the "Grand Tours" of the past, celebrates with emotion and satisfaction "the most beautiful exhibition space in the world": the Uffizi Gallery.

The First Victory

Since Eike Schmidt took over the direction of the Uffizi in November 2015, he has transformed the Florentine museum into an international institution.

In recent years, the museum has climbed the preferences and rankings not only of tourists and enthusiasts, but also of specialized cultural magazines and more. Among these, the English newspaper Timeout named the Uffizi Gallery as "the best museum in the world".

According to the journalist Sophie Dickinson who edited the ranking: "It doesn't matter if you've already seen Botticelli's Birth of Venus a thousand times, nothing prepares you for the impact with the royal masterpiece. And there are many other spectacular Renaissance paintings to admire".

Another Winning Idea

Just three months ago, the Gallery - thanks to its "Uffizi diffusi" project was included in the "The World's 100 Greatest Places of 2021" ranking by the prestigious American magazine Time Magazine.

The program brought some works from the gallery outside of Florence, to allow tourists to get to know the wonders of Tuscany

A Social Museum

Schmidt has contaminated languages, bringing the museum on Instagram with an official profile that sees 664 thousand followers.

Anyone who has visited the Uffizi Gallery can confirm. It is a place where art, culture and history are in every corner and it is really impossible to resist the charm of thousands of paintings and sculptures, which deserve to be admired at least once in a lifetime.
